The Synopsis
By Qesankh Maa Kheperu
Our story begins in the town of City Island, a small quiet town untouched by criminal activity. However, on one brisk summer's morning Mayor Sebastian Travis discovers the unimaginable: a house riddled with dead bodies. Immediately, he calls in two of New York City's top detectives, Brett Logan and criminologist/psychic Natalie Stewart. Upon arriving in City Island Mayor Travis leads them to the reported site of the crime. Shocked by the gruesome murders, Logan and Natalie decide to stay overnight at the house to reconstruct the murders.
Using her psychic ability Natalie goes into a state of trance and relives each murder seeing first hand the work of this killer. In her vision, she sees the entire sequence of shocking events. Seth, as he calls himself, preys mostly upon young women choosing to wear a mask when he kills his victims. Frustrated and at his wits end, Mayor Travis decides to take matters into his own hands and hires a mysterious hit man to hunt down Seth. Meanwhile, in a killing gone bad, Seth is stabbed by one of his intended victims and left for dead. Battered and bruised, Seth encounters a beautiful young woman named Shakti. A kind hearted soul, Shakti manages to nurse him back to full health. It's not long before Seth falls for this enchanting woman who gives him a new spiritual outlook on things. He begins to see the error of his ways, wanting more and more to change his life for the better. Throwing caution to the wind Seth professes his undying love to Shakti. The two find solace in each other's pain and a loving relationship is born. However things get complicated when Seth discovers that Shakti, the love of his life, is really the assassin hired to kill him. Shakti too is faced with the surprise that Seth is her mark!
Seth comes clean and reveals to her that the reason he has been killing women is to locate their infamous drug dealer Dr. Sugar Love Daddy. Thirty years ago Love Daddy got Seth’s mother hooked on drugs, causing her to die from an overdose. Ever since then Seth has been on a mission of revenge. Shakti pleads desperately for Seth to abandon his killing spree and turn his life over to more spiritual pursuits citing that killing, no matter who, is wrong. Consumed by anger, Seth ignores her cries. One late night he manages to hunt down Love Daddy in a dark alley. But just as he is about to take his long awaited revenge, Shakti pops out of nowhere and stands in his way. Determine to finish things, Seth reluctantly fights Shakti in a fierce battle. In the end it seems like a stalemate but Shakti refuses to finish off Seth. Inadvertently letting her guard down, Seth seizes the opportunity and kills Shakti. As she lays on the ground dying, Seth comes to realization of what he has done wishing he could bring her back. He turns away from Love Daddy now knowing that killing him is not the answer to his problems. He takes Shakti’s body away never turning back.
Back at the house, Natalie comes out of the trance after reliving the entire experience. She relays all the information to Travis. However, fearful that Natalie may reveal to the public that it was he who hired the assassin, Travis immediately pulls them off the case. Logan and Natalie return to New York where one night while together Natalie receives another psychic vision. The vision reveals that Logan is in the fact the killer Seth after all! Compelled by her vision she draws her gun on Logan. Logan comes clean and confesses but informs her that he has changed his ways. As he presents his case he walks closer to her. Natalie is at odds with herself not knowing if she should pull the trigger and kill him, or let him go free. Left with no choice, Natalie gives Logan to the count of three to step back or she'll be forced to fire. Undeterred, Logan steps closer and closer. Should she believe him or not? Thus the count begins. One… two… three…!
