I LOVE BAD HOLLYWOOD FILMS!

Watching those big budget Hollywood films makes me smile. Why am I smiling you say? Because they are so bad! If you took note over the last two years Hollywood has produced more bombs than ever before. I don't know what studio heads are running the show but they need to be fired! Or as Donald Trump would say "Your fired!" It looks like the all white boy's club is really backfiring. It is obvious that what they need are a fresh group of writers and directors to bring Hollywood back to the old days of quality pictures. I knew something was wrong when I started buying the old DVD classics "Dog Day Afternoon" and "The Warriors." Those films are great and bring the art of filming back to...yes an art form! But going back to why all this makes me smile. When things get to this point audiences are going to start demanding better films. Traditionally, Hollywood has never been one to make a change on its own. It has been the independent filmmakers that have paved the way for a new film movement. And this is why I smile. Master Killers will fulfill that demand. It will give audiences something they haven't seen in a while; a film with meaning that touches the heart and soul. So please Hollywood keep making those stinkers!

Need A House For The Shoot!

Hey guys, we need a location for Seth's house. I am scouting around the Washington, D.C. area for some good prospects. So far I may have two good leads however I would prefer something in New York. What we are looking for is a nice big house with two or three bedrooms. We would need it for approximately two to three weeks. It must accommodate a cast and crew of about twenty people for shooting 24/7. If you know of anyone who is willing to rent us their place please give me a call. Thanks.

Ron's Dad

I want to let everyone know that my father was released from the hospital today. He is doing well and wants to thank everyone for their support. It may take some time before his health can return to normal but the ordeal has not affected his outlook. He remains in great spirits often laughing and telling jokes. So again, thanks.

Let me just say that most of us don't realize how important our health is. That's why I am grateful to be in Ausar Auset where diet is one of the key principles studied through Geb. It should be noted how our medical system does not tell you that many of the diseases we suffer from are preventable. Interestingly enough, when I went to the hospital cafeteria I noticed that they were serving hamburgers and fries. That stuff will kill you! As a filmmaker I would be foolish if I lived one lifestyle while promoting another. One of the benefits to a good diet is in your artwork. Yes, it directly relates. Most of the bad films and books you see out there are caused by people eating the wrong foods which in turn affects their mental state. My good friend Sanuneter is really trying to get that message out there. He has created a great Blog for writers called, You Write What You Eat. Please check that out as he is way ahead of his time. I hope one day to do the same. Maybe it will be called, You Film What You Eat. But my point is that not only does eating the right foods help to improve your physical body but it has a psychological effect as well.

Master Killers is a perfect example of that. It stands as a film which addresses the issue of someone with a mental illness and how it relates to the food he takes in. That film will help to bring about a spiritual awareness to folks. I really don't know if I could have written it eating hotdogs and burgers. Take care.

Thrillers Are In!

Has anyone noticed that thrillers are now the biggest thing at the box office. Next to computer animated films, audiences are running to see the next thriller film. Hollywood is responding to the demand by producing films like The Ring, Signs, The Forgotten and Darkness. Just this weekends theaters were packed with people trying to get a ticket for Michael Keaton's new film White Noise. Originally, when I did the reading on Master Killers we received Sekert Hetep. Since Sekert deals with cycles and timing I would have to say that the time is right for Master Killers. Not only is it a thriller in the traditional sense, but it is a thriller with a great script. Most of last year and the start of this year has been peppered with really bad thrillers. So it is no doubt that Hollywood is waiting to get their hands on a good film such as ours. Just to give you an idea of how things are moving in our direction, my lead actress Beth McLeod pointed out that there is a new TV thriller entitled Medium. The show is about a woman with psychic powers who can talk to the dead. Is that Natalie from MK or what? Seeing that this trend may not last long my New Year's resolution is to get MK going and as fast as possible. Rest assured that once we get this picture done it will thrill audiences to no end. Yes, 2005 will be our year guys!!!

Need Actress to play Mayor Travis

Hey Guys,

I am putting out the call for a talented African-American actress. Originally, the role of Mayor Travis was to be played by a male actor. However, I don't want to limit the character to gender. At present Rakhu and I are developing this character further. It is going to be a dynamic role to play. So if anyone knows of a strong sister who can play a slick politician please have them contact me directly. Thanks!

Shakti Sticks it to Seth!

I am having some trouble with the ending of the film and could really use some help. Here is the Set up.

Natalie shoots Seth then runs into the kitchen to call for an ambulance. While lying there dying, Shakti enters and tries to help. She tells Seth that the only way she can stop the bleeding is to use acupuncture. Now, throughout this new draft I have established the fact that Seth is afraid of needles because his mother used them to take drugs. As it stands now the scene is a little flat. Since Natalie is in the kitchen it needs to go faster and have more dramatic tension between Shakti and Seth. Any suggestions? Oh, by the way I introduced the character of little Seth into this new draft.

NATALIE
I can't stop the bleeding. It's really bad. I don't want you to die, Logan. Logan!

Logan's eyes open again. He caresses Natalie's hair.

LOGAN
Don't worry... I've got a plan. I need my herbs.

His eyes close.

NATALIE
No! Just hold on for me.

Natalie runs into the kitchen, grabs the phone, and calls for an ambulance.

NATALIE
This is detective Natalie Stewart, I need an ambulance at 1501 Bloom street Apartment 3A, now! I have an officer down!

Logan's eyes open. Before him stands the little boy. Logan is pleasantly surprised.

LOGAN
Hey, little man.

The boy smiles.

LOGAN
We're okay now. I think it's time to say goodbye.

The boy puts his hand out reaching for Logan. Logan takes it and falls back. He drifts away, eyes closing.

She walks into the room. She throws a hand full of herbs on Logan's open wound. Using some gauze tape, she wraps it up stopping the bleeding. A damp towel is placed across his forehead. Logan, springs back to life. His eyes open to a unexpected sight before him -

SHAKTI holding the towel.

SHAKTI
Seth, can you hear me my love?

LOGAN
Yes.

SHAKTI
You're dying. I have to use a needle to stop the bleeding.

LOGAN
No, no, please don't.

SHAKTI
It's the only way I can save you.

Shakti pulls out one of her long needles. Seth closes his eyes. Shakti injects it into Seth's shoulder directly under his skin. Seth bites down on his lip.

LOGAN
I'm afraid. Will it hurt?

SHAKTI
It's already over.

Logan opens his eyes. Shakti kisses him then hugs him tightly. He feels content and comforted. The bleeding has stopped and the pain has gone away. However, another figure comes into the picture. It is the little boy. He wraps his arms around Shakti and Logan, smiling. He too is content and comforted. Shakti senses his presence but cannot see him. She is a bit spooked but brushes it off.

Natalie races back into the bedroom carrying the FIRST AID KIT. She sees an empty room. She walks over toward the front door which is wide open. Logan is gone. A tear rolls down Natalie's cheek.

Natalie Encounters Her Double!

I just came up with a new scene for the film that takes place toward the end. I think it will add a new twist to things and really surprise viewers. It starts right after Login injects Natalie with the serum to force her into a state of trance. After Natalie goes under she encounters another one of Seth's victims. She spots a young woman stumbling across the room. She suffers from a gunshot wound and is bleeding to death. Well, the woman turns around to reveal her face and much to our surprise it is Natalie herself. Natalie, watching all of this, is shocked to come face to face with her double. In a frantic panic she immediately starts to question the woman (herself) as to what happened. I'll leave it at that for now. Please give me your feedback and let me know what you guys think. Take care.
